On October 25, 2007 His Grace Bishop Mercurius of Zaraisk visited St. Innocent of Irkutsk Church in Redford, MI. His Grace served a molieben together with the rector of the parish V. Rev. Archpriest Roman Star.  Following the molieben, Bishop Mercurius commenced the blessing of the new iconography at the church.  Clergy of Patriarchal Parishes and many parishioners of St. Innocent church prayed at the service. Bishop Mercurius in his greeting, addressed to the rector and the parishioners, thanked father Roman for his hard work with the renovation of the church and the efforts that he undertakes to activate the involvement within the deanery.

According to edict # 104  of the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA of October 31  2007, Archpriest Roman Star is appointed as an acting dean of the Middle States Deanery.
