ANNOUNCEMENTS
Movie Night - We're continuing our series of movie nights with a viewing of the groundbreaking 2017 documentary "Becoming Truly Human". The movie features several non-religiously affiliated adults in casual and candid conversation about their own lives and the reasons why they became disillusioned with religion, even though most of them were raised in the Church. The movie features the conversion of one of them to Orthodoxy through an intense journey of searching and questioning. The subject is a highly relevant one among today's young adults in particular, but it's applicable to those of all ages who have grown disillusioned with organized religion. We'll have a discussion afterward, making for what promises to be a thought-provoking evening. As always, we'll begin our evening with an Akathist in church and then head to the adjacent Cultural Center to watch the film. Refreshments will be served, all are invited, and everyone is strongly encouraged to bring a friend!
Traffic Pattern - The City of Passaic is sponsoring a run/walk next Sunday morning, April 29th. The route is scheduled to pass by the corner of Third and Monroe Streets, and streets will be blocked off surrounding the Cathedral. The best approach will be to enter Monroe Street via the bridge from River Road in Garfield and then
turn right on to Fourth Street into our lot. If an officer is stationed at the bridge, let him know where you're going and he'll let you pass.
Gift Certificates for Shop-Rite are available from Paula after Liturgy or during the week in the parish office. For every $1,000 the parish sells we make $50.00, but since they are sold at face value there is no additional cost to you. Purchase them for your weekly shopping or give them as gifts, they've been an excellent fund-raiser for the church
for many years.
